Roadmap

Current systems and planned work. For questions about the build, see development status.

World and controls

The environment, the god view and how the settlement gets built.

Built

Terrain and environment

The province map has a day and night cycle, seasons, weather, forests and wildlife.

Built

The Hand

Pick up villagers, animals, logs and ore-bearing rocks. Carry, drop or throw them, and place what the settlement needs.

Built

Buildings, roads and walls

Place buildings, lay roads and paved streets, and draw walls and towers across the ground.

Built

World map and overlays

Zoom out and the view climbs through cloud onto a parchment map, with region panels and overlays. Tab opens data overlays on the ground. A backdrop forest stands beyond the map edge.

Built

Walls that block, and gates that fold

Villagers route around curtain walls. A maniple files through an open gate or postern in column and re-forms beyond it, and a shut gate refuses the order. Armies cannot breach a wall.

Built

Save and load

Saves keep settlements, people, buildings, stores, construction work in progress and mined deposits. Supported older save versions can be loaded.

Settlement and villagers

Production, construction and what your population needs.

Built

Settlement economy

Villagers have jobs, needs, housing, moods, skills and a memory of what they have seen. They gather resources and carry goods to storage.

Built

Farming and production

Villagers plough, sow and harvest fields; rain and water miracles water the crops. Keep animals in a drawn pen, and process what you gather at a mill or a smelter.

Built

Districts and streets

Zone a district and your villagers build inside it once materials arrive. Lay paved streets that villagers prefer to walk on.

Built

Opening tutorial

An optional guided start introduces settlement management in chapters, with further lessons when a system becomes relevant. Guided start is off by default.

Miracles and the creature

Divine powers, how you rule, and the creature that watches you.

Built

Miracles

Throw or pour miracle orbs through the Hand to water fields, heal villagers or start fires. Deeds, prerequisites and petitions reveal miracles; offerings at the Fanum bind them.

Built

The Fanum and devotion

The Sacred Grove arrives completed as your town centre. Devotion earns access to the Fanum and Great Fanum upgrades; materials and builders complete the work, allowing stronger miracle tiers.

Built

Alignment

Mercy and Providence record how you treat people and how you manage the settlement. Alignment shows on the land and on the panels you open.

Built

Creature roles and flags

The creature learns from watching you. Assign it a role and plant a flag to keep its work nearby. A creature that neither trusts nor fears you can refuse to go where you send it.

Armies and rival settlements

Raising troops, giving orders and fighting a rival god.

Built

Maniples

Recruit a maniple of your own villagers from a Drill Yard's card. Recruits walk to the yard and train before taking orders.

Built

Standards and formations

Plant the standard to give the order: on ground to march and hold, on an enemy to attack, on your wall to garrison it. The formation is yours to choose.

Built

Sieges and capture

A maniple that rings a building and holds its ground takes it apart piece by piece. Give a Capture order at a hostile town centre or Fanum and hold it unopposed to take the town.

Built

Rival god and raids

In a rival scenario, the rival god builds a town of his own. His hostility grows with time and with hostile deeds in his land; with enough men and supplies, he warns you and sends a levy against your outbuildings.

Next

Further work on the Disciple, campaign and wider setting.

Planned

The Disciple's own game

The current body can move, look around, sprint and jump. Interaction, equipment and progression remain to be built.

Planned

A campaign against the rival god

The rival builds, raids and can lose his town today. A war with a beginning, a middle and an end is still to be built.

Story draft

The island and its gods

The wider setting remains a story draft. The current map is a province divided into regions.

Partial

The creature at war

Stomps and ordered attacks are built, including Soldier-role attacks near a flag. Growth progression and miracle cast animations remain unfinished.

Unconfirmed

Player-made scenarios

Tools for making maps and starting setups are unconfirmed.

In testing

Ponds and fishing

A new game sites ponds, and a villager can fish from the bank or from the town's Fish row. This is in the build with automated tests, and it has not had a play session yet.

In testing

Berry bushes and fuller meadows

Woods hold berry bushes at the canopy edge that look bare, picked or full, and a Gatherer can pick them and haul the berries to storage. Open ground carries a fuller meadow, still being tuned. Neither has had a play session yet.

In testing

The rival's market

A rival town can found a market of its own beside its storehouse, and its demand board staffs the stalls. This has not had a play session yet.
